Peter A. Maggio

Dr. Peter A. Maggio has been a musician for over 30 years. He started playing the piano at the age of 7 and quickly excelled at the instrument. He completed his first original composition for piano at the age of 14, and began arranging for concert band around that same time. He was an all-state percussionist in high school and spent several years participating in Drum Corps International. He also was a regular performer in the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for several years while he was in college. Dr. Maggio spent 11 years as a music educator in Arkansas and earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Education from Boston University before transitioning into K-12 school district administration. He still enjoys playing the piano and creating arrangements of his favorite songs in his spare time.
