Katherine is a multi-instrumentalist, teacher, composer and musical director from Nuneaton, Warwickshire. She began on recorder before studying piano and flute, achieving Grade 8 on both by age 17 and winning the Cyril Collins Bursary for piano at 11. She holds a BA (Hons) from University College of North Wales, Bangor, and a PGCE from the University of East Anglia. In August 2017 she reclaimed the Guinness World Record for the Longest Flute Marathon, playing for 27 hours 32 minutes in aid of cancer charities, holding the record until March 2024. Katherine performs across the UK and Europe as a pianist and flautist, with extensive orchestral and pit experience. A published composer, her music is sold worldwide. She teaches flute, piano, clarinet, saxophone, keyboard and voice, and runs Theatre of Music, providing online lessons and resources. She has musically directed and accompanied numerous shows, choirs and pantomimes, and regularly performs as a singer and accompanist.
