He holds a degree in Saxophone from the Porto Higher School of Music and Performing Arts and a degree in Teaching with a specialization in Music Education from the Porto Higher School of Education. He has a Master's degree in Teaching Saxophone and Wind Orchestra Conducting. He was awarded the Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida Prize in 2006. He has received several merit awards and honorable mentions. He has performed solo concerts with the Portuguese Navy Band, among other orchestras. He has participated in orchestras such as the Porto National Orchestra, the Northern Orchestra, the Templar National Wind Orchestra, the Portuguese Saxophone Orchestra, and the Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra, among others. With the "InvicatSax" Saxophone Quartet, he recorded the CD "Llocr," a group that has won awards at national and international festivals. He has also participated in recording albums for international rock bands such as Mean Devils and TTSyndicate.
