Hey Joe

A standard bearer of the traditional, 20th century song from music history of, tragedy, bluesy gut wrenching word/ music speak. Very easy song to play which allows the musician to improvise the song to reflect his or her frame of mind, adding any nuances that "feel" right. I have been a listening witness to many versions of "Hey Joe", from the Music Machines 1966 eerie "Doors like" version to the jazz rendition by Brad Mehidau & ultimately, at least for me, THE epic Jimi Hendrix masterpiece. See, thats the beauty of a wonderfully crafted song. It can be all things to all people. A classic in all shapes & forms. Simplicity in all its complex moods. Any person who has an interest in playing the guitar or the consummate musician, regardless of the weapon of choice, you have got to get a hold of this sheet music & play your guts out. But, essentially, it ALL comes back to the guitar & the right voice. Oh, by the bye, check out Popa Chubbys version, it will blow you away!
