Displaying all reviews (9)This arrangement of "And so It Goes", a ballad written by Billy Joel is the best you'll find out there. It's not hard to play, as the song is pretty slow and allows for a lot of rubato (a musical term used to indicate that the tempo, at all times may be changed to make the music more vibrant). Of course, you'll want to have played the piano for a while in order to play the song with feeling, as that's what the song itself is all about. Overall, this arrangement gets a 5 out of 5 for accuracy and quality. A must-have for the Billy Joel fan, like myself.

I originally heard this piece on a cruise. I was so happy to find it for sale. It is one of my favorite arrangements: very moving and calming.

I absolutely love this song, and was not disappointed when I bought the sheet music. There is one measure with two or three chords that are written differently than they sound in Billy Joels recording, but maybe it was something he improvised in the recording. Anyway, its a beautiful song, and the music is clear and easy to read.

This is an easy piece in C major, highly reminiscent of traditional church music. However, if you listen to Billy Joels original, that static chord progression is what he is playing.
There is no difficult timing and being a ballad, it is a relatively slow piece. It is a simple one to memorise and have under your belt for the times youre asked to play something in public. It is rare that I would suggest a cover is better than the original, but listen to the Belgian singer Sonny Vande Putte for the complexities of the harmony that a single voice cannot convey. Once youve listened to that youll be able to bring to the piece an emphasis that the rock/pop rendition of Joels did not have.

Well documented. Always like coming here for sheet music.
