I wrote a School music program with the subject matter the history of Indiana music and found that this song was perfect for teaching 4th and 5th grade students. The ability to put it in whatever key was most suited also makes MusicNotes.com a preferrable site to use. The chords placed above the staff made it possible for me to arrange the song for use with elementary students. I was also able to teach them by ear by first teaching the melody and then using the chords to enhance their performance.

You cant go wrong with a showstopper! Its a long one with lots of lyrics, but a little Cole Porter never fails to make the audience smile!

If anyone is in the same boat (pun intended) Anything Goes seems to be a difficult production to find music for because of the amount of revivals and changes over the years. I fell in love with the 1987 Revival Version (Performed by Patti Lupone) but knew my chances of finding sheet music for it where slim. Though the lyrics are only partial this made for a WONDERFUL 32 bar audition piece and gives me a chance to showcase those Sutton/Patti style "mini-belts" at the beginning. I really recommend this as an audition piece or to perform for a talent/music competition. This arrangement follows the 1987 Revival closer than other versions out there. Plus, its nice to purchase only the song I want, not be restrained to an expensive songbook when I only want one piece. Very happy! :)
