"Brick house" is a metaphor for a person who is very well built; in this case, it applies to a very "well-built" woman. I love the funky groove of this song and the cool jazz chords with accompanying funky bass line in the middle section of this song.

Sometimes keyboardists are relegated to be little more than the horn section. In this particular song it is an important part of the funk groove and this arrangement helped me nail it after I had been struggling to hear the complex chord structures and spacing.

Even though it was harder to follow Im still happy with the overall arrangement. I used this in my theory class to arrange an acapella song. I thought the sheet music was fabulous. I recommend!
