Kristen Allred has a degree in Piano Pedagogy from Utah State University, where she taught piano and was awarded "Teacher of the Year" through the USU Youth Conservatory. She has taught private piano in her home for over 20 years and loves including composition and theory in her lessons. She has served as the Composition Chair for the North Carolina Music Teachers Association (NCMTA) and has given service in many music positions in her church. She enjoys being the accompanist for the Northeast Piedmont Chorale. She is a member of MTNA, RPTA, and ASCAP. Kristen has several choral pieces published through Jackman Music as well as simplified piano arrangements of LDS hymns and primary songs. She has several piano books for the elementary and intermediate pianist published by the Neil A. Kjos Music Company. Many of the pieces from these books have been used on the National Federation of Music Club repertoire list as well as various state contest lists.
