Why Olivia? I chose "Olivia" (of latin origin) meaning "olive tree" or "olive branch". The name was popular in the 17thc as olive tree is a symbol of peace, fertility and victory and it has been associated with these cultures throughout history. The name was used by W. Shakespeare in 12th Night.
