My siblings and I perform for church services and we were recently asked to do a number for our church's choir Christmas program. I am absolutely head-over-heels in love with Christmas music and find that Christian artists seem to turn out the best new Christmas works (especially MWS). I am very excited about his new album and he just so happens to be coming to my hometown for a concert just before Christmas. Anyway, a personal favourite new Christmas song is "Welcome to Our World" - it makes me cry every time I hear it - so it was number one on my list of song choices for our part in the Christmas program. And luckily Musicnotes had both the Amy Grant version and MWS version. I was really pleased that Musicnotes had the MWS version as I can't seem to find his Christmas albums published in sheet music form in a book. This Musicnotes version was excellent -- just reading it over before sitting down at the piano I knew it was very accurate to the recorded version. It contains

I must say that this particular arrangement of Welcome to Our World by Chris Rice is quite soothing and adept at conveying the calm birth of Jesus into this world. It is also an accurate replica of the piano part played by Michael W. Smith, which is great as I cannot play everything by ear. All in all, this is a great piece to learn for the most important holiday of the year.

I had never heard this song, and needed a new Christmas solo. I listened to the Midi version, and decided to purchased it. I am very happy with my purchase, and received many compliments on the solo.

This is pretty close to the original. A few mistakes are made, but nothing that isnt easily fixable to even the least discerning ear.
