Every vocal student absolutely needs to study Nat King Cole. Route 66 is an excellent song to help them do just that. Also, teaching them a little about the old U.S. highway system and the actual fun real road trips used to be is fun for me! Please download the karaoke-version.com backing tracks and vocals to get the full feeling and most fun for performing this jazz classic.

This arrangement is great for either playing as a solo or adapting to accompany a singer. Most of the arrangement is relatively easy with the difficult part being the improv section which can be omitted or "dumbed down".
