Displaying all reviews (7)This is a very accurate transcription of the piano part for Alicia Keys Empire State of Mind Part II. I was originally surprised to see it transcribed in G-flat Major as I had figured it might be easier to read it as F# Major. They are enharmonically equivalent. So it really doesnt make a difference. Some pianists might forget the C-flats, but it really is easy to get used to once youve got the basic chord progressions. I prefer to double up the bass notes with octaves for a beefier sound especially if youre not playing with a bass player. Other than that, bravo to MusicNotes.com for making this available!

I am very happy with the sheet music. My pianist was also happy with the arrangement and could read the music quite easily, which allowed me to sing with confidence and to use the sheet music for all my auditions.

Especially if you buy and download the piece in its original key, it can be somewhat difficult to learn the chords. However, once you learn them they become the easiest thing to play. Same goes for rhythm. A very repetitive song.

Really happy to find a good quality arrangement of this song in the correct key after unsuccessfully looking on other well known sheet music sites. However, there are typos and blatant errors with the lyrics. Considering the price of the sheet music you would expect it to be proof read!
