This arrangement is very similar to that of Megan Hiltys version in Smash. I highly recommend the original key as it is very easy to belt once you practice enough!

This is a powerfully emotional number in the tradition of Arlen and Kander....the chords are quite dense but once mastered are great fun to play, especially if you have a singer who can sing their heart out.

I needed this for an audition for my schools spring show, and while its not the easiest song for a guy with not that wide of a range like me, its still a lot of fun, and its a great way to show off attitude and vocal power!

Ive purchased about a dozen of musicnotes.com "Pro Singer" arrangements (mostly piano ballads) and have enjoyed them all. Just a heads up that this is by far the most difficult arrangement I have purchased to date, but as I learn to play it it sounds great. Note that much of the piece requires a stretch of more than an octave for the right hand, and there are crazy accidentals all over the place. So if youre looking for a challenge, this could be it! By the way, Im a big fan of Ivy (Megan Hilty) on Smash, and she really slays this number when she sings it on the show. Hopefully I can learn this accompaniment and find my own vocalist to do the same!

I felt like Meg Hilty when I sang this. Loved it. May need to get the arrangement in another key so I dont push it too much on my break!
