This five-movement work offers a variety of settings of the familiar hymn tune "Foundation." Ashdown offers a portion of the text that inspired each movement, thus giving the performer more insight into the sensitivity needed for each. Although registered for a three-manual instrument, this set will work nicely on a two-manual organ. Movements may be used sepa- rately or played as a complete larger work. The series consists of hymn tunes, transcriptions of classical masterworks, and new original works for the organ.
