Displaying all reviews (6)Aside from the fact that Giulio Caccini didnt really write this (it was written around 1970 by Vladimir Vasilov and deliberately attributed to the late Renaissance composer. It has become a popular piece among crossover and classical singers, and this arrangement for piano and voice by Nicolas Palmer is absolutely gorgeous. It is also NOT really a transcription of the version by Hayley Westenra (and if you popped this up under her name and want HER version, you should know that). This is also a "Singer Pro" arrangement, so dont expect the vocal line to be in the accompaniment. Other than that, another one of my favorite arrangements from Musicnotes.

I purchased this sheet music because I was asked to sing at a loved ones funeral service. I spent days looking for the music to Hayley Westenras Ave Maria or Sumi Jos arrangement and thought I had found it. I wish the preview had played just a few measures more so I could have gotten a better idea. Its beautiful but just not what I was looking for. I will definitely use it one day.

The Version here is merely okay. There Are better, free Ones out there
